Wonderland
In another lifetime, we strolled through wonderland, you and I.
We marvelled at the majestic nigra ancient; surounded by it's curtains of green. We talked of scowling caterpillers, bitter coffee and day-old lillies. Their fiery petals amongst the fiery sky.
We built an imaginary future, so close that we could taste the strawberries and cream. The coming summer afternoons, filled with scarlet ink and reams of paper.
There was a little girl, lost with talk of rampant dogs through tall grass, bushes with pale faces.
